Sunday Worship YOUTH SUNDAY May 19, 2019 10:30 a.m. - Single Service Potluck lunch to follow service! Come celebrate as our students lead us in worship at a single, combined worship service at 10:30 a.m. on May 19. Our Graduating High School Seniors will receive their quilts, our Confirmation Students will be confirmed in the faith and join the church, and we will be encouraged to hear and see God’s work among our children and youth ministries.
All are welcome at Kennewick First Presbyterian Church. Please join us for Maundy Thursday worship tomorrow at 6pm for dinner and worship at 7pm. Good Friday service will be at 7pm. And Easter Sunday morning worship at 8:30am and 11am. Children’s program and Easter Egg Hunt at 10am.

Rather than putting our desires for what God will do and our expectations on who we think God should be, let’s have openness to see Jesus and follow him to the cross. We encourage you to read a chapter in Luke each day, as we journey to the cross together.

Lenten Interaction Wednesday 4 Word: forgive Scripture: Matthew 18:35 As we journey through the 40 days of Lent, please post a photo, a poem, or a story which depicts the "word of the day" to you. It was a crazy day. Paul came to work with me because he had a dr appointment at 10am and Jamey had to be at work at 1pm. Wrote a sermon, went to doctor, got lunch at McDonalds, met with a conflicted couple, drove home to get Vivi for her eye doctor appointment, which we were late for because they were working on the bridge, got through the eye doc, went to church for Wed program, met with conflicted couple again, played laser tag for an hour, heard sad news about a loss in our family, dealt with more conflict, finally made it home and Paul dumped a 5 pound bag of sugar all over the floor. The whole 5 pounds. ALL over the floor. Forgiveness today is letting myself laugh at the crazy day and not yelling at my 3year old because it’s just not helpful, letting him vacuum up the mess all by himself sort of, because he wanted to and he felt bad about making such a huge mess. And then having a glass of wine. Tomorrow the sun will come up again and I will buy more sugar. And I will continue to care for the people around me. And care for myself. You don’t know how many tomorrows there will be. Forgive yourself. Forgive your family. Forgive your enemy. Hold on to love, not bitterness.
Special combine service, this Sunday 10 a.m. Join us as we share a combined worship service with the Mending Wings Ministry, whose Dancing Our Prayers teams are made up of Native students sharing their faith in Yeshua through the cup of their culture. They drum, dance in full Native regalia, perform drama with a positive message and share their testimonies. Mending Wings is a mission partner of our congregation and North West Coast Presbytery, and our neighbors from the Yakama Nation. Potluck lunch following the service!
